How Does Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Work?

Before the Procedure

Hydrate! Drink plenty of water during the week before the procedure. Hydrate your skin with facial cream.

Avoid the sun or tanning beds. If you must be in the sun, use a minimum 30 SPF sunblock solution.

Avoid harsh products on the treated area 3 days before the treatment. For example, retinoids, peelers, exfoliants and bleachers.

Avoid anticoagulants (ex. Aspirin) if your medical condition permits you to do so. Please consult your doctor before stopping the medication.

Arrive at your appointment with a clean treatment area free of lotions, oils, makeup, perfume and such.

Please don’t wear any jewelry on your body.
After the Procedure

Immediately after the treatment, you may experience minor redness, burning sensation, tingling and edema. These symptoms may last 2-3 days post-treatment.

You will see tiny entry points from the needles. They will go away in about a week in most cases.

You will be provided with the cream to apply to the treated area. Please use it to keep your skin hydrated for the first 3 days post-treatment.

Avoid make up for 2-3 days post-treatment. After 3 days you can resume your makeup and skincare routine.

Avoid exposure to the sun 3 days post-treatment to prevent hyperpigmentation. Use at least 30 SPF sunblock after that.
Recovery Time After RF Microneedling Procedure
Morpheus8 downtime is very minimal. There will be 1 to 3 days of downtime when you can’t apply make-up. And full recovery usually takes about 1 week.
When Will You See the Result?
It takes time for your skin to recover, kick in the rejuvenation process, and grow new collagen, elastin, and skin cells. You will start to see changes in about a week post-treatment, but the maximum Morpheus8 results will be in 4 to 6 weeks post-treatment. Be patient!
Is Morpheus8 Painful?
Morpheus8 procedure is quick and relatively painless. Prior to this non-invasive treatment, a topical anesthetic will be applied to the skin for comfort.

Follow Up Appointment
Morpheus8 procedures are scheduled according to the individual needs and treatment goals of each patient. But not more often than every month (4 weeks) to allow the skin to recover.
