What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic procedure in which tattoos are used to provide the appearance of makeup.
We use the latest and safest technologies and treatment techniques to ensure beautiful results, and we maintain high standards of sterilization to ensure that your treatment is hygienic and without complications.
When you receive permanent makeup, we will meet with you in a one-on-one consultation to discuss the look you wish to achieve.
At the time of your procedure, we will provide you with a topical anaesthetic to reduce any discomfort, and then we'll implant the pigment into your skin and tattoo your permanent makeup onto the top layer of your skin.
Benefits of Permanent Makeup
This cosmetic treatment is ideal for patients who:
Don’t wish to apply makeup daily
Have difficulty applying makeup themselves due to physical limitations such as age or vision loss
Are physically active
Are allergic to traditional cosmetics
Before the Procedure
Wear sunscreen and/or avoid the sun
Avoid any pretreatment shaving, waxing or exfoliation
Avoid any tanning (including spray tans) several weeks prior to your permanent makeup procedure
Avoid alcohol and caffeine 1 day before procedure to minimize any oozing, bleeding or swelling.
If you are smoker, stop smoking at least 6 weeks prior to your treatment to promote quicker healing
Avoid taking any anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin or other medication that may cause increased bleeding
After the Procedure
Avoid long, hot showers for the first 10 days.
Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
Avoid face-down swimming, lakes, and hot tubs for the first 10 days.
Avoid topical makeup and sunscreen on the area.
How Long My Permanent Makeup Will Last?
The results from permanent makeup will be immediate. While your makeup may seem darker at first, the colors will soften over a period of about three weeks as you recover.
You can expect your results to last for years, though they will fade over time due to environment, procedure, and individual factors (such as sun exposure, skin tone, the amount and color of pigment used in your permanent makeup tattoo, etc.).
